The game proceeds as normal, but if there is no winner within a specified number of calls, a proportion of the money paid for bingo cards is added to the jackpot, which then `rolls over` to the next progressive jackpot game. Provided that an online bingo game is operated legitimately – and most online bingo sites, nowadays, pride themselves on their integrity, and security – no single bingo ball has a greater chance than any other of appearing in any particular game.
